This was a compilation of four vineyards grown on the Estate and in the Dry Creek Valley, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Syrah and RRV Zin. (80% Cab Sauv, 30% Franc, 12% Syrah and 8% Zin)

Our inaugural 2005 vintage is the beginning of an exciting journey that takes me to unique vineyards all over Sonoma County each year. The grapes were picked with lower sugars than normal (23 brix) so that pyrizine found in Bordeaux varietals could be captured in the grape at higher levels, offering herbaceous characteristics that when balanced with oak can be quite appealing. Each wine was fermented and barreled separately for 20 months in barrels in order for each varietal to offer a distinct layer in the wine.
