RandyZin Blend 2006

Ripe, perfumed red berries and spice aromas with a juicy, mouthwatering acidity.

Tasting Notes

Our 2006 RandyZin classically represents our desire to make elegant style Zinfandel's with its light color and perfumed red berry and spice aromas. This balanced Zin showcases bright mixed berries wrapped up with juicy, mouthwatering acidity. The RandyZin exemplifies our desire in Sonoma county to truly enjoy life and not take ourselves too seriously.

                                                                       Feeling a little Randy today?

Winemaker Notes

The 2006 RandyZin is a compilation of 87% Zinfandel, predominately from fruit grown in the Russian River Valley, and 13% Sonoma County Syrah. We secured a great source of Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel, which comprises 15% of the master blend. Zinfandel grown in Lodi has higher PH levels and lower acidity. This addition balanced out the higher acidity found in Russian River Valley Zin, allowing the wine to taste full and complete while still preserving the juicy acidity and the "cocktail" factor.
