Pitts Home Ranch Estate Zinfandel 2002
Tasting Notes
The foggy summer nights of the Russian River Valley are key in maintaining the natural acidity found in this varietal. Acidity transfers to fresh, juicy flavors on the palate. Huge, aromatic raspberry and lively acids give this a drinkability while young and the potential for many years of aging.

Winemaker Notes
Over the course of the 2002 growing season, over 50% of the zinfandel fruit grown on our Estate was "thinned" in order to produce an aromatic intensity. The grapes were picked on September 13, 2002. Keeping in line with the winemakers fruit driven vision, this wine is almost entirely neutrally oaked for 22 months.
