2015 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

In 2015, we crafted a mere 70 cases of Pinot Noir from our backyard vineyards. We hope you'll explore our delicate approach to cool-climate Burgundian-style Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes

Soft, supple and ready to enjoy early on, this 100% Pinot Noir shows pretty, dark floral aromas out of the gate. Although the classic RRV black cherry and cola are present, there's a very interesting herbal note coming from being harvested not overly ripe. A flinty/minerality component layers the flavor on the mid. This wine finishes on a soft, delicious note begging for another sip.

Winemaker Notes

I'm not making a lot of Pinot Noir anymore as there's too many others in my neighborhood doing a decent enough job. Plus, there's a ton of Pinot Noir out there so I've been focusing on other varietals as of late. Having said that, I do still make about 100 cases per year mostly for the Wine Club. Once they're gotten their share, I'll release the remaining 10-15 cases to the public. I'm loving the 2015 Pinot and I think you'll like it too.
