Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Dark, dusty cocoa, dried brown herbs, black olive, juicy licorice finish. 100% Cab.

Tasting Notes

This Old World style Cabernet is incredibly balanced with dusty herbal notes and elegant cocoa spice. Our 2012 single-origin Cab is structured with slight tannins gripping and releasing ever so quickly, allowing it to be enjoyed early on. There is an interesting green olive note that playfully skirts around the edges of the sage, anise core and continues on to the finish. We are proud to offer this beautifully traditional Cabernet. Winemaker Notes

The 2012 growing season brought to wine country some of the most optimum summer weather patterns in decades. A solid spring fruit set ensured the largest harvest in Sonoma County's history. The great spring conditions transitioned into near perfect summer wather, with above average temperature during the day and below average at night. This resulted in a large temperature variance every 12 hours of approximately 45 degrees. This flux allowed for the days to ripen the complex sugars and for the cold nights to retain the natural freshness and acidity.
