Grower & Winemaker's Notes

The 2006 vintage Sonoma Harvest  took me to unique vineyards all over Sonoma County. The grapes were picked with lower sugars than normal (23 brix) so that pyrizine found in Bordeaux varietals could be captured in the grape at higher levels. This natural chemical offers Boudreaux blends a beautiful herbaceous character that, when balanced with oak can be quite appealing especially accompanied with dinner. Each wine was fermented and barreled separate for 20 full months in barrels in order for each varietal to offer a distinct layer in the wine.

Tasting Notes

This balanced Bordeaux based table wine is crafted with your table in mind.  Dusty herbs and coco aromas greets while tart coco clove is delivered on the palate.  The juicy candied caramel finish packs a velvet punch which slowly dissipates.  This wine needs to unwind for a few years and will continue for a decade.
