Grower & Winemaker's Notes

Our 2006 Russian River Valley Zin is grown by Harvest Moon and neighbors on Olivet and Piner Roads. The ‘06 growing season was challenging due to Mother Nature mixing it up with spring rain, mid summer heat spells and a very cool finish. This is a local Russian River Valley wine. It grew, fermented and aged for 14 months in mostly neutral barrels all within a few miles of the Estate. This wine will taste its best from 2008 and will continue to impress for the next decade. 

Tasting Notes

Pale in color and light in body, this blend of 100% Zinfandel showcases classic Russian River Valley Zin with bright red-fruit aromas, a lively mouth feel and a medley of cran-cherries and tart raspberries intertwined with just the right amount of toasty wood on the finish. Look forward to enjoying this wine from early 2008 forward.
