General News from the Estate

MEMBERS, we've made it super easy to navigate, order wine, find out what's happening in the vineyards, the winery and the greater Sonoma County Wine Country.  An email went out detailing how to access your account and other member advantages. If you did not receive the email, let us know and we'll resend it.

We're opening the Vault!  Accessible on our new site are wine details of every wine we've ever made.  As we progress, we'll be tasting older vintages and offering current tasting notes so clients will have a better idea on the aging progress of Harvest Moon wine in their cellar.  Our goal is offer members and guests continual updates about the ageing of our wines so you can make better decisions on when to open and enjoy those resting beauties.

TO OUR HEALTH!!!  Recently, there's been tons of news about a natural chemical compound found exclusively in the skins of red winegrapes called Resveratrol. This compund had been initially found to be good for the heart and somehow assists on fighting cancerous cells, however  there's new evidence that appears to blow open the doors of science and get a lot of labcoat wearing folk super excited. Watch here!

LOW ALCOHOL Wine has its benefits!!!  Who knew that not only are lower alcohol wines BETTER TASTING, they're also better for you!!! Read about it here!

NEW RELEASES!!!

March 2010: 2008 Sonoma County RandyZin:  Get the BBQ cleaned and ready, this one is a sure thing come Spring.  Our new release is more than a pretty label, this blend of Zin, Syrah and Sangiovese has it all.  Body, fruit, berry and spice, this vintage will make you want to say, "Randy".

June 2010:  Inaugural Release:  2008 Estate Zin Rose.  This rose will amaze with perfumy, red spice and fine blackpepper aromas with juicy tart candied cranred fruits.  At a mere 10% alcohol, this light-bodied beauty will go down quite well this summer.  122 cases.

2007 Russian River Valley Zinfandel Blend:   If our new vintage of local Zin was a Zinplay, all the actors would be present and and on it!  Seriously, the play between fresh cracked black pepper and juicy perfumed dark fruit is intense!   We bottled about 100 cases of 375 ml "split" bottles perfect for those wary business travellers in need of some zinlove while on their trip.

 Olive Oil Season

Olive oil season begins in late October and continues until mid-December. We hand harvest our olives grown on the Estate Grove and process them with a small Italian mill. We encourage those interested in learning more about how olives are grown and produced or if you have olives and want them produced into oil to email us at info@harvestmoonwinery.com.
